Well, it's a reference to the magic that is in all of us....
An energy is passed
From life to life entwined,
An endless flow of power
That runs all life combined.
The energy I’m speaking of
Is not some Jedi force,
It’s the energy of sunlight
That keeps all life on course.
This energy is captured
By green leaves working hard,
Then used to break up CO2
Leaving oxygen to discard.
The carbon atoms then get linked
Into chains that keep on growing
They’re bent into amazing shapes
And mixed, life’s magic glowing.
Carbohydrates, fats and protein
All the stuff of living
Is made up of these carbon strings
That sunlight keeps on giving.
A little thought will show us
The secret plain to see,
The magic, the awesome power,
That makes up you and me.
So if you’re down remember
Your whole self is made, by right
From woven filaments of air
Spun together with sunlight.
